Tony Raunic, Work for local government

Tony is the Managing Principal of a leading Melbourne law firm, and specialists in public law and government matters.  He assists clients of all sizes in property disputes and claims relating to buying and selling of property and property transfers.

Tony advises local councils in relation to good government governance practices as well as issues related to commercial operations of council and property matters. 

Tony works with a range of local councils around Victoria including Monash, Port Phillip, the City of Moreland, the Ballarat local council, Wyndham, City of Banyule, Kingstons and the City of Monash.

Tony has experiences as a councillor in Nillumbik Shire, and also has previously served in a range of local and state government roles including Mayor, Deputy Mayor and served on the Statutory Planning and Building Committee and roles with the Municipal Association of Victoria.   He has also served on a number of other committees for local government. 

He also advises on probity in council sourcing and awarding of contracts as well as matters of conflict, handling of probity in council processes. 

Tony is involves in both training and induction for newly elected representatives, in both rural and metropolitan local government.
